Abstract
목적: 본 연구의 목적은 한국인에서 스피만곡의 전형적인 형태와 성별, 연령, 좌우측에 따른 스피만곡을 분석하는 것이다.
연구 재료 및 방법: 콘빔형 단층촬영을 한 원광대학교 치과대학 산본치과병원 환자 중에서 본 연구의 기준에 합당한 500명(남자: 311, 여자: 189)의 이미지를 선정하였고, 스피만곡을 시상면 상에서 분석하였다.
결과: 한국에서 스피만곡 평균 반경은 91.4 mm였다. 스피만곡 반경의 성별에 의한 통계학적 유의성은 있었으나, 연령과 좌우간의 유의성은 보이지 않았다.
결론: 본 연구의 제한적 상황 내에서 몬슨에 의해서 주창되었던 101.6 mm보다 더 적은 한국인의 스피만곡의 반경은
특히 한국인에서 교합평면을 재건할 경우 모든 경우에서 스피만곡 수치를 그대로 적용하는 것을 재고해 볼 필요성을
제기한다.
Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate the typical shape of the curve of Spee in Korean and analyze the curve of Spee according to gender, age, and left and right.
Materials and Methods: Among the patient of Wonkwang University Sanbon Dental Hospital taking cone beam omputerized tomography, the images of 500 Koreans (311 males and 189 females) who qualifies the criteria of this study were selected and their curve of Spee were analysed in sagittal plane.
Results: The mean radius of curve of Spee in Korean was 91.4 mm. There was statistically significant difference between male (94.6 mm) and female (86.1 mm) by gender, but not significant differences by age and between right and left side.
Conclusion: Within the limitation of this study, the smaller radius (91.4 mm) of Korean than the 4-inch (101.6 mm) value advocated by Monson was meaned that it would be need to reconsider the application of the curve of Spee in all cases when occlusal plane is reconstructed in Korean.
